Software installation:

There are two alternative software programs to choose from: (i) Genie: contains full functionality, but requires installation permission by the PC. (ii) GenieMini: requires no installation program to be run (simply save the files to a folder of your choice), but does not contain full functionality. Five of the eight Excel Genie features can still be accessed without any software installation. Those features are: Excel knowledge base, Online training, Hotline, Monthly journals and AbleOwl club course discounts. Genie and GenieMini software can be installed on any number of PCs. However, full functionality of Genie is only available on the registered subscriber’s PCs. The software can be registered twice, to accommodate subscriber’s work and home PCs. On subscription lapse, certain functions of the Genie program will cease to operate. Genie software functionality then becomes that of GenieMini.

Hotlines:

All hotline replies go to the subscriber’s registered email addresses (both office and home, as designated). AbleOwl guarantee a maximum response time of 24 hours. However, response times are often within 1 hour, depending on subscriber’s geographical location.

Online training:

Headphones are recommended for online training. A low-cost pair is usually adequate.

AbleOwl information:

You will be emailed with information about: (i) new download utilities, components and templates, (ii) new software versions, and (iii) other information relevant to Excel Genie, such as renewal reminders.
